A fixed price, not an estimate

The figure you see online is the figure you pay, confirmed at a free survey. No extras on the day.

One engineer, start to finish

The person who surveys your home installs the system, sets it up, and answers the phone afterwards.

Andrew visits, confirms the figure and books a date. A single room is usually done in a day.

Why a local engineer beats a national name

Big installers send whoever is free that day. With Prestige, Andrew Flower surveys your property, installs the system himself, and is the one who answers when you call. He has spent thirty years fitting and servicing air conditioning across London, and is now based in Highcliffe.

F-Gas registered, fully insured, and tidy: dust sheets down, packaging taken away, controls explained before he leaves.

Systems that heat as well as cool

We fit wall-mounted split systems from Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, LG and Bosch. They are quiet — as low as 19 dB indoors, quieter than a library — A++ rated for cooling, and every one of them heats too, which makes them the cheapest way to warm a single room in spring and autumn. Wi-Fi control comes as standard on most, so you can cool the bedroom from the car on the way home.

Questions people ask

Do I need planning permission?

Usually not for a house — the outdoor unit generally falls under permitted development. Flats and listed buildings can need permission or the freeholder’s consent; we will tell you at the survey.

How much does it cost to run?

A 3.5 kW unit draws roughly 1 kW an hour on full cooling — around 25 to 30p at current prices — and far less once the room is at temperature.

Is it noisy?

Indoor units run at 19 to 25 dB on low. The outdoor unit is about the sound of a fridge, and we site it where it will not bother you or your neighbours.

How long does installation take?

A single room is usually finished in a day; two or three rooms over two.

Can it heat as well?

Yes — every system we fit is a heat pump. For a single room it is cheaper to run than gas.

What is the guarantee?

Twelve months on our workmanship, plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the unit — typically three to five years once registered, which we do for you.
